Dr. Hans-Jakob Schindler

works on terrorism and extremism issues with a focus on the abuse of online systems by extremists/terrorists, countering extremism and terrorist financing, and international sanctions. After an international career in academia, the civil service of the German government, the private sector and as coordinator of the ISIL, al-Qaida and Taliban Monitoring Team and advisor on global terrorism sanctions to the United Nations Security Council, he currently works as Senior Director at the Counter Extremism Project (CEP) in Berlin and New York.
